Allies - Your characters friends who will help him/her in a pinch. They can take the form of several minor allies, a couple moderately powerful allies, or one super power ally, but that should be up to storyteller and player discretion.- 1 Dot - You have one ally of little power or influence
- 2 Dots - 2 allies of little power and influence or one ally of moderate power and influence
- 3 Dots - 3 moderately influential allies or one ally who is quite powerful and quite influential
- 4 Dots - 2 allies who are quite powerful and quite influential or one who is extremely powerful and influential.
- 5 Dots - 2 allies of extreme power and influence or one of ungodly power and resources (This one is best left in the hands of the storyteller, just saying from personal experience).
Arsenal -This background gives your character an assortment of weapons she has free access to. Be careful though, you may end up getting regular visits from the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms ).- 1 Dot - You own a couple of handguns
- 2 Dots - You own a few rifles and handguns
- 3 Dots - You own several large handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
- 4 Dots - You own Military grade weaponry
- 5 Dots - from the debut of the Winchester up. Even military grenades and possibly a tank.(Storytellers Discretion).
Contacts - This entails who your character knows. They are not as ready to let you crash on the couch for the night( see the background Allies) but seem to be well connected themselves. So you can call them for various favors. Usually a contact is of a major importance such as the mayor, the police chief, a gang leader ETC. but you also have several minor contacts like a hot dog vendor, a bouncer, or even a school teacher.- 1 Dot - 1 major contact
- 2 Dots - 2 major contacts
- 3 Dots - 3 major contacts
- 4 Dots - 4 major contacts
- 5 Dots - 5 major contacts
Fame - This is how well your character is known. This can make hunting easier and make it harder for your enemies to make you just disappear without an investigation.
1 Dot - You're known by a select group of people (A singer at a local small-time club)
2 Dots - You're known by the majority of a city's population (Such as a Radio Personality)
3 Dots - Known throughout the state (The governor)
4 Dots - Known by the entire nation (The President)
5 Dots - Everyone knows at least your name (Gandhi)
Generation - This background dictates your characters starting generation. The lower your characters generation the more blood points your character can hold and spend per turn.
1 Dot - 12th Generation/11 blood/1 blood per turn
2 Dots - 11th Generation/ 12 blood/1 blood per turn
3 Dots - 10th Generation/ 13 blood/ 1 blood per turn
4 Dots - 9th Generation/ 14 blood/ 2 blood per turn
5 Dots - 8th Generation/ 15 blood/ 3 per turn
Herd - This background entails how many mortals your kindred may feed off of freely without out fear. These people may be friends who know of your "condition" or simply people who view you as a god figure.
1 Dot - 3 Vessels
2 Dots- 7 Vessels
3 Dots- 15 Vessels
4 Dots - 30 Vessels
5 Dots - 60 Vessels
Influence- This shows the weight your characters words and opinions carry in the mortal world.
1 Dot - Moderately influential( You can whisper in the mayor's ear)
2 Dots - Well Connected(You know your state Senator's personal phone number)
3 Dots - Position of Influence(You know several Governor's and Senator's personal numbers in your region)
4 Dots - Broad Personal Power(You have the current presidents personal number)
5 Dots - With a few lies and some double crossing you could start WWlll
Mentor-This background gives your character a kindred elder to guide you through the World of Darkness. This is a contact,ally and advisor all in one.
1 Dot - Mentor is moderately powerful and has little influence

2 Dots - Mentor is Moderately powerful and moderately influential
3 Dots- Mentor is powerful and moderately influential
4 Dots- Mentor is extremely powerful and moderately influential
5 Dots- Mentor is extremely powerful and extremely influential
Resources -This is your characters overall wealth. Her monthly allowance,and liquidation worth are in the table below.
1 Dot - Liquidated= $1000 cash, allowance of $500 a month
2 Dots - Liquidated= $8000 cash, allowance of $1200 a month
3 Dots - Liquidated= $50000 cash, allowance of $3000 a month
4 Dots - Liquidated $500000 cash, allowance of $9000 a month
5 Dots - Liquidated= At least $5000000, allowance of $30000 a month
Retainers - Ghouled bodyguards. They can be mortals or animals. But remember a powerfully physical ghoul probably has poor practical skills, while a dead shot ghoul probably is not the brightest crayon in the box.

Status - This represents your characters status in Kindred society. It can help him/her with getting aid or even just someone to speak on his behalf. The chart gives you respect equivalence. A status of 5 does not necessarily mean you are th Prince, but it means you are accorded the same amount of respect.

4 Dots - A Primogen/Bishop
